theremotedevicehangingup

withoutnotifyingtheTDMnetwork(POTSlineslacksuchnotification),lineimpairmentsuchthatthe

gatewaycouldnotdetectandencodetheMCFcommand,noisesuchthatourMPSwasnotdetectedbythe

remotedevice,orpacketlosssuchthateithertheMPSor

theresponseMCFwaslost,orlatencysuchthat

theMCForMPSwasdelayed.Inthecaseofpacketloss,insurethatlow‐speedredundancyisenabled.

6D58 UnsustainableConnection,receiversentDCN:Normally,thereceivershouldneversendaDCNdisconnect

signal.Thiscouldbeduetolineimpairment

causingatimeoutonthereceiveside,orausermanually

pressingacancelbuttononthereceivingfaxmachine.
